Go to METAR and locate your airport on the map (click/hover on that airport and a help box appears with the uncoded METAR data… select and copy that, you’ll need it later, paste it in a text file), scroll midway and put the airport call letters in the box labelled “IDs”, check radio box “decoded”, drop down box has “most recent only” selected, and click “request METAR data”, now copy paste that into the file you already created with the RAW METAR data. Now you have something to compare…. do this every day, at least when you are about to fly, get in the habit of checking your weather reports.
